Stefon Diggs appeared in court on Friday, February 13, for his arraignment over the alleged assault of his personal chef, pleading not guilty days after the Patriots wideout featured in Super Bowl LX.
Diggs, 32, stood before a judge at Dedham District Court alongside his legal team, where he entered a “not guilty” plea in relation to claims that he assaulted his chef in December 2025.
Following the brief hearing, Mitchell Schuster, a member of Diggs’ legal team, addressed reporters outside the courthouse and dismissed the allegations. “We’re confident that after the facts and evidence are reviewed in this case, he will be completely exonerated,” Schuster said.
The case stems from an allegation by Diggs’ personal chef, who accused him of slapping her and attempting to choke her during a dispute over pay on December 2, 2025.
According to her account, the disagreement began over money she believed she was owed. She alleged that Diggs entered her unlocked bedroom after a text exchange about payment, where the situation escalated.
She claimed Diggs became angry, slapped her across the face, and then “tried to choke her using the crook of his elbow around her neck.”
The woman reported the incident to police on December 16. Although she did not submit photographs of injuries, she alleged that she experienced redness on her upper chest.
A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for April 1. The court has ordered that Diggs have no contact with the alleged victim while the case proceeds.
