The NFL is reviewing domestic violence allegations raised against Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice after his ex-partner, Dacoda Jones, accused him of years of abuse in a series of posts on Instagram.
Jones, who shares two children with Rice, alleged on Wednesday, January 7, that she was abused throughout their eight-year relationship. She claimed she was mistreated during pregnancy and at one point was locked out of her home in freezing temperatures. She also published photographs showing bruising, other apparent injuries, and property damage, which she said were linked to the alleged abuse.
Jones did not name Rice directly in the posts, but the player’s grandmother appeared in the comments to defend him.

On Thursday, the NFL confirmed it was examining the situation under its personal conduct policy. “We have been in contact with the club about the matter which will be reviewed under the league’s personal conduct policy,” the league said in a statement.

Rice’s attorney told TMZ Sports earlier this week that his client had not been charged with any crime before ending the call. The Kansas City Chiefs said on Wednesday night that they were “aware” of the allegations.
