A Nigerian woman, Deborah Gbenga Jegede, has attributed her mother’s youthful appearance to her peaceful marriage.
According to Deborah, her mother is almost 70 years old yet still looks like a teenage girl because her father doesn’t have side chicks or baby mamas, and he loves his wife exactly like Christ commanded men to.
She added that her mother is a proof that women glow differently when they are loved right and treated properly by their husbands.
“My Mum is almost seventy, yet she looks like an under sixteen girl. She’s been married for more than forty years. Has five children and several grandchildren,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
She’s the one and ONLY wife of her Dear husband, who by the way, she refers to as “Dear” or “Darl.”
Her husband doesn’t have side chicks or baby mamas. She doesn’t have to fight other women because of her man. No drama. No anxiety.
She enjoys peace in her marriage.
She’s one woman who has enjoyed the kind of love Christ commanded men to have for their wives–selfless, unfeigned, pure, and sacrificial.
Women glow differently when they are loved right and treated properly. My Mum is a great attestation to this.
I won’t forget how she constantly tells us she prayed and God convinced her that my Dad was to be her husband.
God spoke to her using Psalm 45:10 – 14, after Daddy came to propose to her. She had spent quality time to pray concerning his proposal and then God spoke to her.
God also used an audible voice to communicate with her that He had sent her one of His Amazing Sons.
Their union will be forty-one years old this year, to the glory of God.
God has been divinely connecting His children together for marriage purposes from time immemorial, and He hasn’t stopped.
Mum taught me to start praying to know God’s WILL In Marriage right from my secondary school days.
I’m ever grateful to God that I obeyed her because those prayers didn’t go to waste. Prayer is a beautiful investment with massive returns.
Today, by God’s grace, I have a Godly, Healthy, and Blissful Marriage. Twelve years and counting and I usually wish I had done this earlier.
