Morocco set new U-17 World Cup record after trashing New Caledonia 16-0

Morocco has smashed the all-time U-17 World Cup record after demolishing New Caledonia 16–0, a result that keeps their knockout hopes alive and wipes Spain’s old 13–0 benchmark off the books.

The Sunday match turned into a one-sided avalanche from the opening whistle, with Morocco’s attack in full, ruthless flow. Abdelali Eddaoudi led the charge, scoring twice in the first half and running the show well enough to earn Player of the Match.

New Caledonia’s problems went from bad to disastrous after they were reduced to nine men before halftime. Typhan Dreuko and Jean Canehmez were both shown red cards for foul play, leaving their team completely exposed against a Moroccan side that refused to ease off.

With acres of space and total control, Morocco kept piling on the goals. Oualid Ibn Salah, Eddaoudi, Ziyad Baha, Nahel Haddani, Ismail El Aoud, and Abdellah Ouazane all finished with braces as the scoreline ballooned into historic territory.

The win pushes Morocco to third place in Group B, behind Japan and Portugal. Their fate now depends on results in other groups as they wait to see whether they will advance as one of the best third-placed teams in the Round of 32.
