Hailey Bieber may have thrown subtle shade at music executive Scooter Braun following his public praise of Justin Bieber’s new album.
The Rhode skincare founder posted a playful yet pointed Instagram Story on Saturday, featuring an exaggerated selfie with distorted eyes and lips, set to Mariah Carey’s “Obsessed”, a song widely interpreted as a clapback anthem. The timing of the post raised eyebrows, coming shortly after Braun shared a glowing tribute to Justin’s new project.
On his own Instagram, Braun, Justin’s longtime manager before their split, described the album Swag as “beautiful, raw, and truly him.” He added, “I’m proud, impressed, and genuinely enjoying the music,” singling out the track “Daisies” as a standout.

Hailey’s post, arriving not long after Braun’s comments, has fueled speculation among fans that it may have been a pointed response, especially in light of recent headlines.
Just days earlier, it was reported that Justin had reached a multimillion-dollar financial settlement with Braun. The deal included a $26 million payment Justin allegedly owed, plus 50% of another $11 million Braun claimed was due in unpaid commissions.

While neither Hailey nor Justin has publicly addressed the settlement or Braun’s praise, Hailey’s choice of song and timing have left fans reading between the lines.
