11-year-old ‘Madalina Cojocari Parents Arrested’ The mother and stepfather of Madalina a middle school girl who has been missing since November 23 have been detained by North Carolina police.
Madalina Cojocari’s disappearance wasn’t reported missing until Diana Cojocari, 35, and Christopher Palmiter, 60, informed the Bailey Middle School resource officer on Wednesday, as previously noted by CrimeOnline. On November 22, Madalina’s last day of classes.
Diana Colocari and Palmiter were charged Saturday with failure to report the disappearance of a child, the Cornelius Police Department said, and are being held at the Mecklenburg County Detention Center, according to the Charlotte Observer.
After Cornelius police started an investigation into the missing on Thursday, the FBI and North Carolina State Bureau of Inquiry joined the search later that day.
Madelina is characterized as being 90 pounds in weight, 4 feet 10 inches tall, and having dark brown hair. She wore a white T-shirt, white jacket, pink, purple, and white Adidas sneakers when she was last spotted.
