While Chris Wilson, Matt Wright’s co-star, and close friend, perished in the helicopter crash, Matt Wright is still alive.
Wright was not on the helicopter when the tragedy occurred, and Wilson was working a job collecting crocodile eggs in February.
Wilson was discovered dead at the game, but Matt Wright just had a minor injury during the cash.
Wilson and Wright got along well too. They work closely together to control and transport crocodiles. Wilson discusses in his Netflix series how he and Wright struck up a friendship over a couple of rum bottles years before.
Wright posted a tribute to the deceased Wilson after the accident, referring to him as his “brother,” further demonstrating the close bond they had.
In the post, he said, “You were my right and left-hand man – nothing was ever too hard, you made stuff happen & were the best partner I could have ever wished for. We started such an awesome journey many years ago.”
It doesn’t seem that he was involved in any wrongdoing during the collision based on the post he uploaded.
Matt Wright Arrest And Charge: Where Is He Now?
Matt Wright has arrived at a Darwin Police station to answer for his activities in relation to the loss of his close friend Chris in a helicopter crash.
He appeared at the police station on Tuesday morning after the arrest warrant was issued on Monday.
On a Qantas flight leaving Sydney this morning. Daily Mail Australia got photographs of the celebrity putting his baggage in an overhead compartment.
The 43-year-old Wright is accused of perverting the course of justice, destroying evidence, forging evidence, interfering with witnesses, and unlawful entrance, among other offenses.
He had been given 48 hours to report to the police station by the deadline. And he did so only 24 hours after the warrant was issued.
Regarding the crash money, Wright and two other people were also detained. Coworkers investigating the case detained Neil Mellon, a former senior Northern Territory Police officer, in August after six months of investigation.
The police officer was accused of disclosing private information and receiving benefits through deceit.
Bush pilot Michael Burbidge was accused of four counts. Also included attempting to obstruct justice and deleting evidence, after a month in September.
However, he was not the only pilot in the helicopter crash that resulted in their close friend’s passing. Wright was the helicopter’s pilot when it crashed.
