The memorial service for Charlie Kirk drew an overwhelming crowd on Sunday, September 21, in Glendale, Arizona.
State Farm Stadium, which seats about 73,000, filled to capacity within hours of doors opening at 8 a.m. Thousands more were directed to the Desert Diamond Arena next door, reserved as an overflow venue.
Turning Point USA, Kirk’s organization, said 200,000 people registered for the event, which featured speeches from former U.S. President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Kirk’s widow, Erika.
Many attendees, dressed in red, white, and blue as requested, arrived as early as 4 a.m. Some walked nearly two miles after the parking lot overflowed.
