X users are calling a man a prophet after he warned that the increase in the price of eggs would lead to mass failure in JAMB.
Last year, following a sudden steep hike in the price of eggs, the man wrote on X: “1 crate of egg is 5000? Expect mass failure in jamb next year.”
At the time, people called him out and asked how price of egg would affect JAMB results.
One person asked: “Wetin concern egg and JAMB?”
He responded: “Egg is the cheapest form of protein. Consumption of proteins helps with cognitive function. Egg is now more expensive so means kids will eat less proteins needed for their brain development.”
His prediction came true as JAMB recorded mass failure this year. The release of statistics from the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) revealed that over 1.5 million of the 1.95 million candidates scored below 200 out of 400.
Now, Nigerians have gone back to the X user’s old tweets to tell him that he was right after all.
