A Wuse Magistrates’ Court in Abuja has sentenced Somto Ezeobi to one week imprisonment for stealing a Toyota Sienna vehicle.
The magistrate, Sadiq Mohammed, sentenced Ezeobi without an option of fine and warned him to desist from committing crime and be of good behaviour.
The police charged Ezeobi with criminal conspiracy and theft, which he pleaded guilty to.
Earlier, the prosecution counsel, Donatus Abah, told the court that the complainant, Mr. Chukwudi Ghaly, managing director of the said hotel, petitioned the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, on Sept. 8.
Abah said that Ezeobi conspired with the hotel’s driver, Imaoihiemugh Ukuoma (now at large), and stole the hotel vehicle from the premises, valued at N14 million, sometime in July. (NAN).
