Liverpool offer Bayer Leverkusen £110MILLION to sign Florian Wirtz

Liverpool have offered a bid of close to 110million to sign German midfielder, Florian Wirtz.  The Premier League champions have been strongly linked to the Bayer Leverkusen star after Bayern Munich and Manchester City pulled out in the race to sign him this summer.  Liverpool coach Arne Slot reportedly left Wirtz captivated during a meeting earlier this month and convinced him that Liverpool, with the passion of the fans, is the ideal destination.  The Dutchman also promised Wirtz a major role in his attack and gave him a clear outline of his responsibilities, according to Bild.  But Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of 126m for a man who has lit up German and European football in the last two seasons.  Sporting director Richard Hughes is leading talks to sign the 22-year-old German international.  A haul of 18 goals and 20 assists saw the youngster burst into the international consciousness last season, and he has backed that up with a further 16 strikes and 15 set-ups this campaign. Only 22, he has already been capped 29 times by Germany. A deal for him would surpass the 85m club-record transfer of Darwin Nunez, who arrived from Benfica in 2022.  The post Liverpool offer Bayer Leverkusen 110MILLION to sign FlorianWirtz appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
