A woman has reportedly left her marriage still a virgin after enduring years of neglect, deception, and mistreatment from her husband.
According to an X user who shared the story, the man — a quiet, respected church member in his mid-40s — had never married before and was said to have been jilted twice in the past. He eventually showed interest in a young lady in her early 20s, also a member of the church. She initially declined his advances, but the church and both families convinced her and her parents to go ahead with the marriage, praising the man’s “good character.”
However, trouble began on the wedding night. The man claimed he was tired and didn’t consummate the marriage. The very next day, he travelled to the U.S. without his wife and refused her request to rent a place of her own, insisting she stay with his parents.
While living with them, she was reportedly subjected to domestic servitude — cooking, cleaning, and running errands under constant supervision. Even when going out, her mother-in-law allegedly followed her.
Two years later, she finally joined her husband abroad — only to discover he was already living with another woman. She slept on the couch while he and the other woman shared a room. Again, she was made to do all the housework and soon discovered his lifestyle of heavy drinking and smoking — a complete contrast from the man the church thought they knew.
She secretly documented her experiences and returned to Nigeria. When she presented her evidence to church elders, the man reportedly couldn’t defend himself. He even accused her of infidelity, despite the fact that she was under strict watch the entire time.
The church dissolved the marriage, and it was confirmed that she left the marriage the same way she entered it — untouched.
