Lady pours acid on her boyfriend after breakup

The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 30-year-old Mavis Nkrumah for allegedly pouring acid on her ex-boyfriend, Gideon Frimpong, during a confrontation over their breakup.

Police reports indicate that the incident occurred after the former couple met to resolve ongoing issues related to the end of their relationship. The discussion reportedly escalated into a heated argument, during which Ms. Nkrumah is said to have attacked Mr. Frimpong, a 29-year-old taxi driver, with the corrosive substance.

Mr. Frimpong sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a medical facility, where he is currently receiving treatment. Medical staff report that he is in stable condition but will require ongoing care due to the extent of the burns.

Following the attack, Ms. Nkrumah attempted to flee the scene but was subsequently apprehended by police. She remains in custody as investigations continue.
