Jorge Grados Abandoned 2-Pound Baby on Stranger Car: A Connecticut dad was detained this week for abandoning his infant kid in March on top of someone else’s car.
According to WSFB, police were called to a location in Mansfield after Jorge Grados Abandoned 2-Pound Baby on Stranger Car, the newborn was found on top of a woman’s car hood, wrapped in a towel. The following inquiry used DNA evidence and cell phone location information to connect Jorge Grados, 41, to the child.
The mother who discovered the infant reportedly told CT Insider that she dialed 911 after hearing whimpering coming from the towel. The infant, who reportedly turned purple and was coated in bodily fluid, received life-saving treatment.
Grados allegedly admitted to investigators that he had sex with an illegal immigrant in Hartford. He stated that the girl visited him in Willimantic with an armed man after having the child at some time.
According to Grados, the girl said that because of where she resided and the fact that she was an illegal alien, she was unable to keep the kid. According to WFSB, the armed man then warned Grados that if he informed the police, he would kill Grados’ family.
Grados reportedly told police that he did not leave the infant at a firehouse because he was scared off when he noticed security cameras and people outside. He claimed he also thought about taking his son to the hospital but ultimately chose to leave him perched on top of a vehicle on a country road.
According to CT Insider, he told police, “I wanted to know how the baby was doing, but I was afraid to call anyone about this, including my therapist, because it was so embarrassing.
Grados allegedly stated that he attempted to contact troopers but hung up before doing so.
Jorge Grado Accusation And Charges
Authorities may or may not have found the baby’s mother. Grados is accused of endangering a kid and intentionally inflicting harm on others. He was taken into custody on a $100,000 bond but then released on his own recognizance.
Grados is involved in two active criminal cases, according to CT Insider. Grados was accused of disorderly behavior, third-degree strangulation, suffocation, and danger of injury to a child in Willimantic in July 2021.
Jorge Grados was freed on a $200,000 bond in connection with the cases. He has a court date on January 9.
