Isaac Fayose calls out Nyesom Wike and Tinubu for reportedly using ₦39b to renovate ICC Abuja originally built by Babangida for ₦240m in 1991 (video)

Businessman and social commentator, Isaac Fayose has called out Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the staggering 39 billion reportedly spent on renovating the Abuja International Conference Centre (ICC)a facility originally built for 240 million in 1991 under General Ibrahim Babangida.  Fayose, known for his outspoken stance on governance, described the move as ego construction, questioning the justification for spending such an amount of money on a renovation amid a biting economic crisis in Nigeria.  The ICC was built from the ground up in 1991 with just 240 milliona full, functional national monument, Fayose said.  Now in 2025, 39 billion is being used not to build, but simply to renovate the same structure. This isnt about national development or preserving legacy,  This is about rewriting history with paint, bricks, and personal branding. He slammed the administration for prioritizing such projects while Nigerians grapple with inflation. Theres a deeper problem here, Fayose warned. Its not just about the moneyits about what we value as a nation. While people are struggling to survive, we are spending billions on ego and self-glorification.  International Conference Centre has been renamed to Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre.     View this post on Instagram           A post shared by Lindaikejiblog (@lindaikejiblogofficial)  The post Isaac Fayosecalls out Nyesom Wike and Tinubufor reportedly using39bto renovate ICC Abuja originally built by Babangida for240m in 1991 (video) appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
