Newsypeople- The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has announced they now have meters ready because of new stock received through the Meter Asset Provider (MAP) Scheme. This project aims to improve service and address customer issues with estimated billing.

Engr. Francis Agoha, now Acting Managing Director of IBEDC, said customers should sign up to get meters using a special website at msms.ibedc.com. This platform is built with the MAP Scheme to ensure all customers enjoy an easy and secure metering experience.

Because of new information saying people cannot use cash for meters and other services, Engr. Francis Agoha strongly advised IBEDC customers not to give money in cash to these third-party individuals.

He said for safety in transactions, customers must go to the official website at msms.ibedc.com to register their meters and make payments.

IBEDC offers many secure methods for payment, such as IBEDC Pay, USSD, 24-hour Self-Service Kiosks, IRecharge, and Fets Wallet. These options are designed to let customers complete their transactions simply and safely.

For people who must pay with cash because they do not use online services easily… Agoha stressed the importance of getting a valid receipt after each payment. He said that the receipt should include the customer copy, which helps prevent any cheating or fraud from happening.

The company tells all customers to be careful and not deal with people who say they work for IBEDC but are not real employees. If customers have more questions or need help, they should call the IBEDC customer service at 07001239999 or visit the website www.ibedc.com.
