Reality star and billionaire entrepreneur Kim Kardashian has revealed that long before SKIMS, beauty deals and global fame, she once struggled to pay off her credit card and had “lousy credit.”
In her new MasterClass, Kim spoke about the early days of running Dash, the boutique she opened with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe back in 2006.
According to her, both she and Khloe had such bad credit at the time that they couldn’t even get a card approved. They had to rely on Kourtney, who had the strongest credit score among them, Daily Mail.
“We were able to get a credit card solely in Kourtney’s name because she had the best credit,” Kim said, explaining that they used the card to buy all the inventory for the store.
She admitted they often failed to pay vendors on time, forcing them to pay for everything upfront. Even the store lease was possible only because they inherited “a little bit of money” from their late father, Robert Kardashian.
Kim also revealed that they couldn’t afford to pay their monthly credit card bill, so they would settle for the bare minimum.
“We would pay just the minimum every month… we just didn’t have the money,” she said.
