Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has cleared the air after fans accused her of throwing shade at colleague Biola Adebayo, who recently announced the end of her marriage.
The drama started when Laide posted a video of herself dancing on Instagram with the caption:
“All of us will eat breakfast. Asiko lo ma ya to. Good morning people.”
The phrase, which is commonly used to refer to heartbreak or relationship breakdowns, came just hours after Biola Adebayo went public with her divorce from husband, Oluseyi — sparking heavy backlash from fans who felt the timing was too shady to be a coincidence.
But Laide wasn’t having it.
In a video posted on Friday, she fired back at the trolls:
“Bad commenters and trolls association, something must be wrong with you.
Please let us all be guided. It is still June 5th here in California to be precise. I can never shade my own sister Biola Bayo. My prayers are with you. I didn’t get any updates. I was busy with my daughter’s graduation. Trolls are evil.”

While Laide insists the post was just a coincidence, social media users are still debating whether it was shade or just bad timing.
