Actor/Politician, Kenneth Okonkwo was on Arise TV this morning where he was asked to react to the recent comments by Edo state governor, Monday Okpebholo on the person of Peter Obi.
The governor had said that Obi should not come to the state without getting security clearance from him. According to him, the last time Obi was in the state, three persons d!ed. read here
Responding, Okonkwo said he sees the governor’s comment as an attack on Igbos. According to him, the governor would not make such a remark on any leader from Hausa or Yoruba ethnic divide.
He, however, refused to respond to the comments by the APC chairman in Edo state, Tenebe, in which he claimed that the governor was right in asking Obi not to visit the state without permission. According to Tenebe, the people of Edo state hate Obi so he should not come to their state. read here
When asked to react, Okonkwo said
‘’Sorry I don’t give credence to people like that because they are just seeking relevance. He is as inconsequential as his face looks’’
