He asked what education has done for me - Nigerian graduate recalls shedding tears after his brother mocked him while trying to explain the importance of education

A Nasarawa State University graduate, Dee Arewa, has recalled when his brother mocked him while he was trying to explain the importance of education so he would pay for his own son’s NECO exam form.

Dee disclosed this while reacting to a post by Tech entrepreneur, Babangida Ruma, about how excited uneducated people get seeing graduates struggle to find jobs.

Dee added that his brother’s words left him in tears.

“Was trying to let my brother know the importance of education so he can pay his son’s NECO. This man opened mouth and asked me ‘meye karatun ya tsinana maka’ (what has the education done for you)?? Ya Allah, I didn’t know when tears rolled down my cheeks,” he wrote.
