Thursday, September 18th was no regular night in the house as it was Guinness Can Task night, and Guinness, the Gold Sponsor of the season, made sure it was one to remember.
The week’s theme, Flying Solo, meant the housemates had no Biggie to guide them. But leadership never took a back seat, with Head of House Zita stepping up as Game Master, proving her leadership chops as she directed the housemates through every round, kept the competition fair, and maintained the fast pace of the night.
The night kicked off with pure comedy and chaos. Players raced to collect as many Guinness cans as they could before the buzzer, but they had to do it inside giant inflatable bubble suits. Imagine housemates bouncing into each other, rolling across the floor, and scrambling to stay on their feet while trying to grab cans. It was hilarious to watch, but it was also intense — every can counted, and every win earned 5 valuable points for the team.
Next up was a life-sized board game where housemates had to spin a wheel and advance across 34 spaces. This was where luck met strategy as landing on Harp Boxes triggered mystery instructions that could help a team or set them back. The room erupted each time a housemate got hit with a surprise twist, and the suspense built as both teams tried to be the first to reach the table and start building their Guinness can pyramid. In the end, Team Bold hit the table first, quickly stacking their cans and locking in another win.
But the night was far from over. The final round, The Guinness Can Hunt, raised the stakes even higher. Two players from each team had to find two Guinness cans and two goblets hidden inside 18 lockers, using a single key at a time, and returning it to the bowl after each try, which meant keeping track of what had been tried and staying focused under pressure. The tension was sky-high as housemates shouted clues, scrambled for keys, and raced against time. In the end, Team Bold cracked the code first, pulling ahead and setting themselves up for overall victory.

No Guinness task would be complete without the iconic Perfect Pour. Each team nominated a housemate to deliver the smooth, signature moment. Rooboy went in with speed and energy for Team Bold, while Thelma took her time and executed a textbook-perfect pour for Team Smooth, giving the house the classic Guinness finish it deserved.

When the final scores were tallied, there was no denying it as Team Bold reigned supreme. Congratulations to Faith, Koyin, Rooboy, Sultana, Dede, Joanna, Mide, and Kaybobo for bringing their A-game, staying bold, and showing exactly what teamwork is all about.
And it wasn’t just the housemates who walked away winners. Guinness fans who engaged with posts on @guinness_africa also scored big, taking home exclusive Guinness signature jerseys and cans of Guinness to keep the celebration going at home.
Once again, Guinness proved why it is more than just a drink but also a symbol of boldness, smoothness, and unforgettable moments.
