Amber Rose Howard has filed for divorce from former NBA star Dwight Howard, just six months after the couple tied the knot.
According to court documents filed on July 1 and obtained by TMZ Sports, Amber, a rapper and reality television personality, cited that the marriage is “irretrievably broken,” with “no prospects for reconciliation.”
In her filing, Amber requested that all marital assets and property be equitably divided by the court. She also asked for alimony.
The couple went public with their relationship in December 2023, when they announced their engagement on Instagram. “Met you and ain’t stop smiling since Superman,” Amber wrote in a now-deleted post.
The documents reveal that the two were officially married on January 11, 2024.
Dwight Howard, 39, currently plays in the BIG3 League after an 18-season career in the NBA, where he was an eight-time All-Star and three-time Defensive Player of the Year.
Amber Rose Howard, who goes by Amy professionally, appeared in Seasons 11 and 12 of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and released her debut album, Amy’s World, in 2023.
