Fentanyl fumes kill 6-month-old Brittany Hamilton Infant: A South Carolina lady was detained on Monday, a few weeks after her 6-month-old daughter passed away.
On October 27, Brittany Hamilton, 36, allegedly used meth and fentanyl close to the child. According to WRDW, when North Augusta Department of Public Safety officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a father giving CPR to an infant who was unable to be revived and had been declared dead at the hospital.
Investigators found, according to WRDW, that the infant died as a result of inhaling the narcotics Hamilton used close by.
According to reports, Hamilton told authorities that she was about to take a shower when she saw her kid lying in an odd way. When Hamilton’s mother arrived, she attempted to adjust the infant but found it to be lifeless and bluish, according to WFXG.
According to reports, Hamilton’s mother told authorities that the infant’s position would make breathing difficult. Before Hamilton dialed 911, she and her mother administered CPR on the infant.
Hamilton was detained on October 27 on drug-related allegations, according to WJBF. She was accused of murder and homicide by child abuse in connection with the passing of her daughter on Monday.
