The father of 18-year-old Christiana Idowu, a 300-level student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has appealed to Nigerians for help as he says he is still in the dark about justice one year after her tragic d**th.
Christiana was ki**ed in 2024 by her friend, 23-year-old Ayomide Adeleye, a philosophy student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU. He lured her to his parents’ home in Ikorodu under the guise of helping her repair her phone, str**gled her, buried her in a shallow grave, and went on to demand ransom from her mother.
Ayomide was later arrested after confessing to the crime, admitting that he ki**ed her over financial problems and even used her mother’s ransom payment to settle personal expenses.
Now, in a new video, Christiana’s grieving father, Mr Idowu, cried out that he has heard nothing about the case despite it being almost a year since her murder.
In his words:
“Hello, Nigerians. I am the father of late Christiana, who was murdered by a friend. It’s getting to a year now. The boy was arrested, but I have no identity concerning the case. I’ve not heard anything about it. Please, I’m helpless, I’m in the dark. I don’t know whether the boy has even been released. Nigerians, please come to my aid, I can’t just allow my daughter to go like that.”
