A former stylist for Sean “Diddy” Combs testified in court this week that singer Cassie Ventura was involved in a romantic relationship with former NFL linebacker Andre Branch, marking the first time Branch was publicly named in connection with the ongoing trial.
Deonte Nash, who worked for Diddy between 2008 and 2018, referred to Branch as “the cute football player” when questioned by prosecutors about Cassie’s past relationships. While Nash offered limited details on the nature of the relationship, he also mentioned that Cassie had a romantic connection with actor Michael B. Jordan.
Cassie had previously acknowledged an affair during her own testimony on May 16, stating that Diddy had taken her phone upon discovering the relationship. At that time, she did not identify the person involved. Nash’s testimony on Thursday is the first time Andre Branch has been named directly in court regarding the matter.
Branch, 35, was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft and later played for the Miami Dolphins from 2016 to 2018. He has not yet issued a public response to the claims made during the trial.
The ongoing legal proceedings against Diddy continue to draw national attention, with testimonies from former associates and key witnesses shedding light on aspects of his personal and professional relationships.
