Following Deshante Wallace death, who was purportedly a victim of domestic violence, a Michigan man was detained and later released.
Deshante Wallace was discovered dead on Saturday at her Detroit home, according to WJBK. According to reports, she was overdosed to death; nevertheless, her mother stated that a doctor said her daughter’s torso was covered with bruises.
Wallace’s mother revealed to WJBK, “I arrived at the hospital and I saw my daughter, my daughter’s eye was sitting out here.”
Wallace and her partner had been together for ten years, and they had a kid together. Wallace never reported the abuse to the authorities because she was afraid, despite Wallace’s mother alleging that the boyfriend was violent.
“He fractured her lip and her eye, and she needed 17 stitches,” she claimed.
Bleach was found on Wallace’s body and close to where her body was discovered, according to sources, WJBK. There was apparently a time when Wallace’s boyfriend and a female companion were interrogated.
An autopsy is scheduled, according to the family, but as of Monday, it had not been finished. It’s unknown if police have named any suspects in Wallace’s passing.
“Something was being hidden up that night,” said Wallace’s sister.
