Dallas star and supermodel Annabel Schofield di£s aged 62 after cancer diagnosis

Annabel Schofield, an 80s supermodel turned TV star, has did aged 62 after being diagnosed with cancer. She was known as the face of major beauty campaigns, including Yves Saint Laurent, Rimmel, and Revlon, before her international breakthrough with Bugle Boy Jeans. After becoming one of the leading cover girls of the era, she landed a primetime slot in US soap Dallas. Schofield starred as Laurel Ellis opposite Larry Hagmans J. R. Ewing in the long-running show, making her on-screen debut in 1988. Melissa Richardson, former owner of Londons Take Two Agency to which she was signed, shared a touching statement. Richardson said: “She was one of David Baileys favourites and appeared in countless shoots for Italian Vogue. She was the forerunner of Take Two without her, we could never have made it as we did. “We loved her because she was funny and real and beautiful and down to earth. She never changed from the sweet little 17-year-old Welsh girl I first met.” Schofield was born and raised in Llanelli, Wales, getting an early taste of the film work thanks to her father, British film executive John D. Schofield. Along with Dallas, she appeared in films such as Solar Crisis with Charlton Heston before taking on a quiet role behind the scenes. As a producer, the former supermodel worked on The Brothers Grimm, Doom and City of Ember. She launched Bella Bene Productions in 2010, a Burbank-based production company which developed fashion projects, adverts, and music ventures. During her behind-the-scenes work, Schofield formed a creative partnership with Nick Egan, best known for his work with Duran Duran and Oasis. Fashion was always on her mind, though, later producing a 3D Guerlain campaign starring Angelina Jolie. Richardson added: “She was directly loyal, caring, and above all, a raging beauty.
