A 50-year-old man identified as Ramoni Seriki has been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly r3ping his 13-year-old daughter.
Seriki was arraigned before Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Friday, June 27, 2025.
The defendant, a transporter who resides at Obasa Avenue, Ijegun, Lagos, was tried for s3xual assault.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, ASP Adegoke Ademigbuji, told the court that the offence was committed on June 18, 2025, at the defendant’s resident.
Ademigbuji said that the defendant s3xually molested his 13-year-old daughter while she was sleeping.
He said that the victim confided in her mother, who had been separated from her father years ago.
According to him, the offence contravenes Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs O. O Kushanu, refused to listen to the defendant’s plea and ordered his remand until September 11 for the advice of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
