Tshala Muana, a well-known Congolese singer and dancer, Tshala Muana Dies At 64, according to her partner and producer Claude Mashala.
He wrote on Facebook, “The good Lord has decided to call back Tshala Muana in the early hours of today morning.
The “Queen of Mutuashi,” a traditional dance and song from her home Kasai region, is Tshala Muana.
She was well-known for a number of songs, including Tshianza, Malu, and Karibu Yangu.
She had performed extensively abroad, had won numerous accolades on the local, regional, and international levels, and had released over 20 CDs.
Additionally, her music was featured on the soundtracks of La Vie est Belle and Aya of Yop City, two well-known Congolese musical movies from 1987.

Because of her vociferous defence of women’s and children’s rights in the Congolese parliament, Muana—whose true name was Élisabeth Tshala Muana Muidikay—was also frequently termed “Mamu National,” or “the mother of the country.”
Seth Kikuni, a former presidential contender, hailed her for her work and “huge contribution to the Congolese culture,” while other Congolese people have been mourning her passing online. She was rumored to have passed away in June 2020, however, she was really hospitalized after a stroke.
She was well-known to support the People’s Party for Reconstruction and Democracy, led by former president Joseph Kabila of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (PPRD).
The government of President Félix Tshisekedi detained her in 2020, allegedly because of her song “Ingratitude,” which was thought to be derogatory of an unknown authority.
