Clarence was raised on a military post because his father was a member of the American Air Force. He also desired to follow in his father’s footsteps after graduating from high school.
As a result, Clarence joined the U.S. Air Force but departed after just one year to enroll in Sterling College. He was a good student who managed to play wide receiver for the football team and take classes at the same time.
Sadly, he began working and quit studying. Before enrolling at California State University, Long Beach, where he majored in acting, the actor lived and worked in California for a period after moving there.
Clarence joined a repertory group that put on family-friendly plays on the weekends after enrolling in the acting program for a year. Because the Company would perform as many as three plays in a single day, he completed acting classes while appearing in elementary schools.
