Activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, has raised alarm over insecurity in Asaba, the Delta state capital after armed robbers invaded a hotel and attacked the staff alongside customers.
Harrison posted a CCTV video online showing the robbery attack and stated that a male customer was k!lled during the incident. According to him the assailants tied up the security men at the gate, robbed guests inside the hotel, and k!lled one of the customers.
‘’This is a hotel robbery. Like armed robbers invaded the hotel, tied up the security men at the gate, robbed the entire hotel. The customers inside were robbed, their phones collected and they even k!lled one of the customers lodged in the hotel”
He pointed out that hotels are no longer a place of safety.
‘’You think stayig in a hotel is safe for you? It is not also safe for you. You think people cannot come into a hotel to rob you? They can! and wherever you go to, whether you are in your house, your friends house, in a secured hotel, just be careful because people can monitor your movement, they know how you go in, when you come out…they observe you. Just be security concious”
He advised anyone experiencing a security breach to reach out to the Delta State Police Control Room: 08036684974 (Available 247) or Safe City via WhatsApp or call: 09068773333
