Know about ‘Cari Allen snapshot Body Found in Kansas’ An autopsy has confirmed that the body discovered this week in Topeka, Kansas, is that of a missing Nebraska mother who has been gone for more than a month.
Authorities did not identify the reason for Cari Allen’s death, but they did indicate it was a homicide, according to KLKN.
Allen was last seen on November 19 at about 11 p.m. in Douglas County, Nebraska, where she lived, according to NewsyPeople. Following her disappearance, the Topeka Police Department in Kansas, where her boyfriend lived. Worked alongside the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office to launch a joint search in both states.
Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Wayne Hudson told KMTV on Thursday that detectives were directed to a private property just south of Topeka by “investigative procedures” rather than a tip. Deputies from the Topeka Police Department and the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Department were also there.
Allen’s boyfriend, Aldrick Scott, 47, lived in Topeka until Allen went missing when he left to Central America. On December 6, he was arrested in Belize on a kidnapping warrant and extradited to Nebraska.
Don Kleine, the Douglas County District Attorney, told KMTV that any additional charges against Scott will be decided next week.
