At least 19 people were harmed in the deadly collision that occurred at an Apple Store in Hingham on Monday morning.

A man has been detained and accused of the event. After his arrest on Monday night, Hingham resident Bradley Rein, 53, was charged with reckless vehicular homicide.

On Monday night, Apple responded to the issue in a message to Boston.com.

“We are horrified by the shocking incidents that occurred at Apple Derby Street today and the unfortunate death of a worker who was on the property supervising ongoing store repairs.

“Our thoughts are with our team members, customers, and everyone touched by this terrible occurrence,” the statement read.

We are doing everything we can to support our team members and clients through this incredibly trying time.

On Monday night, Bradley Rein was taken into custody and charged with careless vehicular homicide.

Before detaining Rein, 53, on Monday night, Massachusetts State Police and Hingham Police reportedly conducted a “extensive investigation,” according to Plymouth District Attorney Tim Cruz.

Rein, a resident of Natick, will be arraigned in Hingham District Court on Tuesday.

Around 10:45 am, according to Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz, a black Toyota 4Runner smashed through the store’s plate-glass display.

The man who was killed, according to the authorities, was 65-year-old Kevin Bradley, a native of New Jersey. Bradley was helping build the store, according to a statement from an Apple representative.

Additional injuries were sustained by 19 people. Many of them have wounds that may put their lives and limbs in peril.

Rein was issued a drunk driving penalty following a collision on December 29, 2020 in Roxbury, Vermont, according to Vermont State Police.

Seventeen patients were being treated at Weymouth’s South Shore Hospital, and two more were being evacuated to Boston, according to hospital authorities.

Two patients who were brought to Boston by EMS from South Shore Hospital are being treated, according to Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

It wasn’t immediately known how many persons the Monday night incident had injured. According to Boston Medical Center, three additional individuals were transported to the hospital.

Where Is Bradley Rein Now?

Bradley Rein is now being kept in police custody. In Hingham District Court on Tuesday, Rein will be charged.

Plymouth’s district attorney, Timothy J. Cruz, tweeted specifics about the allegations made against Rein.

Cruz tweeted on Tuesday that “@HinghamPolice secured an arrest warrant charging Bradley Rein, 53, with Reckless Homicide by Motor Vehicle” in response to a comprehensive investigation by the @statepolice.

Rein was arrested last night and will show up in Hingham District Court to be charged. The business is tucked away in a corner of a sizable shopping center close to Route 3.

As the sole Apple Store in the South Shore, it is frequently visited by locals.

The town of Hingham “expresses its profound condolences and support to everybody touched by this tragedy,” according to officials.

Officials stated, “We recognize that people need healing, both physically and mentally, as a result of today’s events.”

“Like other people who have lately suffered loss or suffering, the town will help people who ask for help. None of us are alone. It is a united city.
