Seattle Seahawks linebacker, Boye Mafe capped off a historic night at Super Bowl LX by proudly celebrating his team’s championship victory while holding the Nigerian flag.
The Seahawks secured a 29–13 win over the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium, earning their second Super Bowl title in franchise history.
During his team’s celebration, Mafe, whose parents emigrated from Nigeria, was among several players who held aloft the green-white-green flag to honor their roots and represent their shared cultural pride.
Mafe made history with two other Nigerian teammates, Uchenna Nwosu and Nick Emmanwori.
