Bayelsa Tourism Commissioner Emphasizes Collaborative Approach to Boost Visitor Economy

Newsypeople- As the recently appointed Commissioner for Tourism for Bayelsa State, Hon. Alla John has stressed the value of working together with the private sector, especially the Aridolf Resort Wellness and Spa, to advance the state’s development of sustainable tourism.

John is aware of the complexity of the tourism sector, the involvement of numerous parties, and the necessity of partnerships in order to produce quality travel experiences and goods.

Hon. Alla John said he was open to collaborating with small and medium-sized businesses, tourism associations, residents, relevant agencies, local companies, and tourists, among other stakeholders.

He thinks they can identify opportunities and challenges in the industry and overcome obstacles in accordance with international best practices if they regularly convene to share knowledge, experience, and expertise through public-private partnerships.

Dr. Piriye Kiyaramo, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the BRACED Tourism Promotion and Development Initiative (BTPDI), stressed the importance of government cooperation with local communities in order to safeguard the environment and the standard of living for inhabitants.

He emphasized how crucial it is to raise awareness among interested parties in order to keep Bayelsa a destination with stunning scenery for future generations.

The recent Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Bayelsa State on Tourism, Kiyaramo, emphasized the pressing necessity for the State Ministry of Tourism Development to involve all stakeholders.
