Bayelsa judge’s abduction: Police parade eight suspects

The Bayelsa State Police Command has paraded eight suspects linked to the abduction of Justice E.G Omukoro of the Bayelsa State High Court. 

 

 

Omukoro was kidnapped on June 21, 2025 in Yenagoa and rescued after 12 days in captivity. 

 

 

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Francis Idu, who paraded the suspects before newsmen in Yenagoa on Thursday, July 24, disclosed that the leader of the gang is on the run.

 

 

According to Idu, the suspects confessed to playing different roles in the abduction. 

 

 

Idu acknowledged the strategic role played by the Department of State Services, and other security agencies, adding that the rescue of Justice Omukoro, was facilitated by the new technology installed by the administration across the State capital.
