Suspected armed bandits have k!lled a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, identified as Ibrahim Dalhatu Tafoki, in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Ibrahim was attacked and k!lled along the Funtua–Tafoki road on Tuesday evening, December 23, 2025.
Security analyst Bakatsine, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday said the assailants reportedly made away with the officer’s motorcycle.
“Yesterday evening, a Road Safety officer, Ibrahim Dalhatu Tafoki, was k!lled by armed bandits in the Tafoki axis of Faskari LGA, Katsina State, along the Funtua–Tafoki road and they took his motorcycle,” he wrote.
“The attack occurred within an area that has recently witnessed several peace and reconciliation efforts with bandits aimed at restoring calm.”
The deceased was the younger brother of Rt. Hon. Shehu Dalhatu Tafoki, Member of the House of Representatives representing Kankara–Faskari–Sabua Federal Constituency, and a son of Tafoki traditional leader Alhaji Dalhatu Tafoki.
