A young man has been hospitalised after armed robbers allegedly shot him and stole his motorcycle and mobile phone in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
The victim’s elder brother, Awar SteevoooFresh, disclosed this in a Facebook post on Monday, February 16, 2026.
According to him, his younger sibling, Geo Freeman, was attacked by assailants who shot him before making away with his bike and iOS phone.
He said the victim is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Benue State following the attack, which reportedly occurred within Makurdi metropolis.
Describing his brother as a hardworking and vibrant young man striving to earn a living, the family lamented the growing insecurity in the state.
The post decried what it termed the rising wave of motorcycle theft and violent robberies allegedly carried out by criminal elements targeting unsuspecting residents.
