Anthony Joshua opens up about tragic loss of friends Latz and Sina in heartfelt video

Anthony Joshua took to Instagram to share a deeply personal message following the loss of his friends Latz and Sina in Nigeria.

In the video, the boxing star opened up about the devastating impact of losing two people he described as “major players” in his life—not just friends, but brothers, business partners, and housemates.

Joshua said the tragic events completely flipped plans for 2025, explaining that “God’s the best planner” and acknowledging the unforeseen nature of the incident. He reflected on the bond he shared with Latz and Sina, emphasizing their support, protection, and guidance throughout his journey.

Despite the grief, Joshua expressed determination to continue fulfilling the dreams and goals of his late friends for their families. “Even though they may not be here physically, when I pray at night and in the morning, I know spiritually they’re going to aid me,” he said. He also thanked the global outpouring of love and support for his friends, describing it as overwhelming.

In the caption, Joshua acknowledged first responders, doctors, and hospital staff, including Dr. Ogunyankin, Dr. Tosin Majekodunmi, and Dr. Ninalowo at Lagoon Hospital, Ikoyi. He also thanked officials, philanthropists, and leaders, including Femi Otedola, Aliko Dangote, Senator Daisy Danjuma, the Governors of Lagos and Ogun States, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their support during the crisis.

Joshua concluded the post with a heartfelt message of appreciation: “Your efforts, kindness, and support will never be forgotten. God bless.”
