Singer and Jourdan Blue, 24, was taken into custody in Louisiana on Saturday over multiple charges, including suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Authorities also cited driving on a suspended license, driving with an open container, and careless operation. He was later released, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Blue, nicknamed the “Bourbon Street Soul Singer,” gained widespread recognition on America’s Got Talent, where he finished third during the show’s 20th season. He earned a Golden Buzzer from Howie Mandel after a rendition of “Breakeven” by The Script, and quickly built a loyal fanbase online, particularly on TikTok, where he has over 864,000 followers and more than 3.4 million likes.
In interviews, Blue has been open about his struggles with substance abuse, at one point experiencing homelessness and a near-fatal overdose. He credits livestreaming performances on TikTok with helping him refine his craft, grow his confidence, and connect with audiences.
Blue, who is a father to a son named Jax, says his journey has inspired him to show his child that even in dark moments, resilience and creativity can lead to something positive.
Daily Mail has reached out to Blue and local authorities for further comment.
