American actor Terrence Howard has sparked widespread discussion after opening up about troubling experiences from his childhood.
Speaking on the PBD Podcast, hosted by Patrick Bet-David, the actor said he was exposed to sexual activity at a very young age while growing up in an unsupervised environment.
Howard revealed that his first sexual experience happened when he was about four years old, involving slightly older children in his neighborhood. According to him, such behaviour continued for several years during his childhood.
The actor, known for roles in Empire and Iron Man, said the experiences shaped how he later viewed relationships and intimacy.
Reflecting on the situation, Howard said the lack of adult supervision in his community allowed children to engage in activities they did not fully understand at the time.
Now a father himself, he said the experiences have made him particularly protective of children and more aware of the importance of supervision during early development.
