Hollywood veteran Danny Trejo has cleared the air after fans expressed concern when he was seen in a wheelchair, just days after false reports claimed he had died.
The 81-year-old actor — best known for his tough-guy roles in movies like Machete and Spy Kids — was spotted at his restaurant in Hollywood over the weekend, where he reassured everyone he was doing fine, Daily Mail reported.
When asked about his health, Trejo simply said, “Everything is beautiful.”
This came shortly after he was seen being pushed through an airport terminal in Toronto alongside his son, Gilbert, following a recent knee replacement surgery.
Just weeks earlier, Trejo had to shut down viral death rumours after a fake report claimed he had suffered a stroke.
At the time, the actor took to Instagram to confirm he was alive and well, writing, “Thank you all for your concern but I am very much alive. Someone is spreading fake news.”
Trejo, who recently marked 57 years of sobriety, has been open about his rough past — including time spent in prisons like San Quentin and Folsom — and how his faith and discipline helped him turn his life around.
“I feel blessed because I wasn’t supposed to make it out of the ’60s,” he once said. “Every day for me is just a blessing.”
