Deadly Landslide Engulfs In Paraná Brazil: At least two people have died and several are still missing as a result of a landslide on a highway in southern Brazil.
At least 16 automobiles were damaged by a river of mud that dropped onto the BR-376 highway in the state of Paraná, according to authorities.

The search attempt was reportedly complicated by poor weather and the isolated area, according to rescue workers on the site. At a press conference, local officials said that between 30 and 50 persons could be missing.
Six survivors have been found, including Roberto Justus, the mayor of the coastal city of Guaratuba. Also, according to the AFP news agency, Mr. Justus declared in a video posted on social media that he was “alive by the grace of God.”
It was awful, he declared. “We were just buried under the mountain. Every car was carried away.”
