A Virginia man 24-year-old Angus Brown was Charged and was taken into custody on Monday morning for using a hatchet to murder his father.
Just before 6 a.m., according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, a Hamilton residence received a call. They discovered David Brown, 62, inside the house with serious stab wounds.
At the scene, he was identified as deceased. His son, Angus Brown, was taken into custody by deputies without any problems.
Second-degree murder and shot, stab, slash, or wound in the course of a felony are the charges brought against Angus Brown. Without a bond, he is being detained.
The sheriff’s office did not disclose any other information on the murder but did tell WRC that the victim’s wife and another son were there at the time.
According to the broadcaster, Angus Brown was arrested at a neighbor’s house.
“We have so few homicides in Loudoun County, and to start the year with this is just awful,” Sheriff Mike Chapman said.
Neighbors told WRC that David Brown had recently retired and was “a really kind guy.”
