Newsypeople- Saida Boj, a popular influencer, recently made headlines for stating that a man must have at least N50 million in his account before considering marriage.

This statement did not sit well with singer Paul Okoye, who referred to Boj and others like her as “idiots” who are misleading young girls.

In response, Saida Boj took to her Instagram page to criticize Okoye, pointing out that his new wife, Ivy Ifeoma, had only agreed to marry him because of his wealth, not because of his appearance or any other reason.

She accused Okoye of condemning the behavior of young women while allowing his own wife to engage in the same.

Boj also referred to Okoye as a “rude young boy” and suggested that his ex-wife, Anita Okoye, had understood him better and gained something from their relationship, unlike Ivy Ifeoma. She claimed that Ivy Ifeoma would not have married Okoye if he was a phone repairer.

Many social media users have weighed in on the debate, with some agreeing with Boj’s statement that Ivy Ifeoma likely married Okoye for his money.

Others have criticized Boj for her comments, arguing that she should have addressed the issue directly with Okoye instead of resorting to social media.

The exchange between Boj and Okoye has sparked a wider discussion about the role of influencers in shaping the attitudes of young people towards relationships and marriage.

Some have argued that Boj’s statement promotes the idea that women should prioritize a man’s wealth over other qualities when considering marriage.
