Saida Boj, whose real name is Sarah Idaji Ojone, had sparked a heated debate online after stating that a man who gives her N20 million can enter anywhere in her body. She also claimed that a man would have to send her N500,000 within 24 hours of “talking stage” and that she deserves to be paid for being beautiful.

Seun Kuti took to his Instagram page to express his support for Saida Boj, calling out Nigerians for their hypocrisy and jealousy. He argued that people are criticizing Saida Boj for speaking her mind about what she wants in a relationship, but they do not hold the same standards for male musicians who often brag about giving women large sums of money in their songs.

He noted that many Nigerian male musicians sing about giving women huge sums of money, but when a woman speaks about her own desires, she is berated and called out for being materialistic.

Seun Kuti further emphasized that Nigerians are quick to criticize Saida Boj for her comments but do not apply the same standards to themselves. He pointed out that many men in Nigeria pay for love and are willing to spend large sums of money to get what they want, but they are angry when a woman expresses her own desires and expectations.

He concluded that Saida Boj’s comments are not new and that people should learn not to be hypocrites.
