Newsypeople- Mary Njoku, a Nollywood actress and filmmaker, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late veteran actor Sam Loco Efe, 13 years after his passing.
In an emotional Instagram post, Njoku revealed that when she was an aspiring producer, she desperately wanted to work with Efe, even though he barely knew her at the time.

Njoku recounted that she had dreamed of creating a show just to feature Efe, acknowledging him as one of the most talented actors Nigeria has ever known.
She expressed that as she reflects on her journey as a filmmaker, she celebrates Efe’s immense contribution to her life as a creative and to the Nollywood industry as a whole.
Mary Njoku stressed that Efe’s craft had inspired an entire generation of filmmakers, and she urged him to “take his flowers and rest on, LEGEND of all time!”
Beyond his acting prowess, Njoku also noted that Efe was a skilled singer. The veteran actor passed away on August 8, 2011, at the age of 66, in Owerri, Imo State.
Prior to his unexpected death, Efe had planned to retire and start large-scale farming in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. He was buried on October 21, 2011, in Benin City, Edo State, and is survived by six children.
