Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore has revealed why he is advocating for actress Regina Daniels amid her marital dispute with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Sowore, who became publicly involved during the arrest of Regina’s brother, Sammy, who was later released, alleges that Ned had plotted against Regina and her family; thus, he can’t remain silent as a defender of human rights.

He revealed that the billionaire allegedly had plans to arrest Regina’s mother and had intercepted her phone calls, intending to use the information against her. Sowore also claimed that Nwoko intended to expose her private plans and past to the public.
Explaining his stance, Sowore emphasized:
“I fight for human rights regardless of whether you support me or not. Your support or love for me is not a condition for me to create a society that is fair. I hate it when people use their power… to punish people because they think they can get away with it.”
He stressed that his advocacy is rooted in justice and fairness, not popularity or selective support, and that no one should be targeted for personal gain or revenge.
The allegations sparked reactions online, with some Nigerians praising Sowore for his consistency in defending human rights, while others expressed shock at the claims against Nwoko.
Sowore insists that justice for Regina Daniels and her family is non-negotiable, vowing not to back down until Ned Nwoko is fully held accountable for his alleged actions.
