A Nigerian man’s unexpected gesture towards Abiodun Ayoyinka, the veteran Nollywood actor known for his iconic role Papa Ajasco, has gone viral online.
This development comes after the actor recently opened up about his financial struggles, despite his iconic role in the popular Nigerian comedy series ‘Papa Ajasco & Company.
He mentioned not having a house or car, and his income is limited due to the trademark ownership of the character by Wale Adenuga Productions.
Man Offers To Papa Ajasco
In a video posted on X (formely Twitter), the man declared that Papa Ajasco made his childhood memorable.
The now-viral video shows the luxurious vehicle he intends to gift the actor, along with $25,000 cash.
“I bought this car for you with the sum of $25,000. You made me so happy. I enjoyed your movie”, He stated.
Wale Adenuga Breaks Silence
Meanwhile, Wale Adenuga, the CEO of Wale Adenuga Productions, has responded to Papa Ajasco’s claims of financial hardship.
According to him, the actor has benefited from his career, including owning a house in Ogun State and using several vehicles, including a Mercedes-Benz
Adenuga emphasized that his company pays staff according to industry standards and maintains professional relationships.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the actor can take on other roles, but needs approval to use the ‘Papa Ajasco’ character.
