Controversial social media activist Verydarkman has made explosive allegations against several Nigerian celebrities, accusing them of working together on a group chat to derail the quest for justice for the late singer, Mohbad.
In an over 12-minute video posted to his Instagram page, Verydarkman claimed that a secret WhatsApp group, allegedly curated by actress Iyabo Ojo and including names such as music producer Samklef, Davido’s associate Dre, actor Jigan Baba Oja, and others, was used to spread false narratives and orchestrate his arrest.
According to him, the group chat was the nerve centre for coordinated efforts to suppress voices and manipulate public opinion during the clamour for justice following Mohbad‘s suspicious death in September 2023.
Verydarkman alleged that his now-viral nude video leak by gossip blog Gistlover, as well as his imprisonment, were orchestrated within the group in an attempt to silence him. He linked his persecution to his insistence on thorough investigations into everyone who interacted with Mohbad 24 hours before his death, and his controversial suggestion for a DNA test to confirm the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam Light Aloba.
“This group was created to push false narratives. They planned my arrest. They blackmailed me because I asked questions they didn’t want answered,” he said.

He also vowed to expose all details of the alleged group chat, claiming it contains damaging evidence of how the public was misled and how his freedom was allegedly compromised.
Sharing the video on Instagram, he captioned it:
“DRE DAVIDO YOU SENT ME TO PRISON FOR ONE MONTH WOW, you guys blackm@iled me because of this matter… see how ev!l these people are.”
